La céramique d'une fosse du Bronze final IIIa du site de l'école Émile-Combes à Saintes (Charente-Maritime) Pottery from a Late Bronze Age IIIa pit at the site of school Émile-Combes in Saintes (Charente-Maritime
For several years a study of the Roman roads of the Santoni, presented by A. Michaud, has been conducted by the Société d’Archéologie et d’Histoire de la Charente-Maritime (SAHCM). J.-L. Hillairet has focused more specifically on the road from Saintes to Bordeaux, based primarily on aerial photographs and satellite pictures. It has been possible to reconstruct the course of the direct route from Mediolanum to Blavia for the first time. Furthermore it has been confirmed by the discovery of a new milestone. L. Maurin has published this discovery, dated to the First Tetrarchy, thereby adding a new item to the corpus of the Inscriptions latines d’Aquitaine-Santons.
