Insufficient physical activity increases several different health hazards around the world. College students are recorded as one of the most physically inactive individuals because they face challenges that hinder them from practicing physically active habits. This study investigates the challenges and coping strategies of Physical Education students in achieving physically active habits. This study followed a qualitative case study design to provide a detailed and comprehensive analysis of the bounded phenomenon provided by the physical education students. A semi-structured interview was employed to draw pertinent data relative to the study and was treated qualitatively using thematic analysis. The results of the study pointed out the emerging challenges faced by physical education students in achieving physically active habits. Consequently, lack of selfmotivation, difficulty in time management, academic demands, and school responsibilities have been the core justification for their physical inactivity. Thus, the findings suggest that self-discipline, effective time management, and goal setting had been the coping strategies used by physical education students in achieving physically active habits. These results provide insights to students, teachers, parents, and future researchers as to how they can contribute to levering the healthy lifestyle of the students. This paper makes a unique contribution to the existing literature on the challenges encountered and coping strategies used by college students in achieving physically active habits.

This study focused on the best practices of tertiary music teachers in utilizing music notation software as an aid to musically challenged students. The phenomenon refers to those who have the difficulty in music aptitude, rhythmic, tonal audiation, and music theory. With the use of purposive sampling, ten participants provided significant answers to the questions on the best practices in utilizing music notation software through an interview guide and was treated using thematic analysis. This is a single case study and is anchored on cognitive theory of multimedia learning of Richard Mayer where students learn more deeply through sounds, picture, and words. The results confirm that the best practices of the tertiary music teachers in utilizing music notation software even with no formal training, boil down to being efficient and effective by providing alternative means and navigation of its basic features, resourceful by adjusting to the underutilized features of the software to cater the needs of the musically challenged students, and making use of the opportunities brought by music notation software to aid the instruction of musical and non-musical students in the classroom.
This is a mixed-method study to see if the offering of Bachelor of Music in Music Education is feasible to be offered in Leyte Normal University. It was revealed that the program's availability is critical, and that there would be a sufficient number of enrollees. The initiative will also assist other aspects of society, such as the government, the community, and students. Enrollment, instructors, competitiveness, and infrastructure all contribute to the program's long-term sustainability. It also conforms to the university's vision and objective, as well as the relevant legal basis. Faculty standards are met, although there is a need to hire one more faculty with a master's degree in music education or a specialized equivalent. Due to the university's existing teacher-education programs, the laboratories, and physical facilities essential for the program's delivery are already available. As a result, it is determined that offering a Bachelor of Music in Music Education is feasible. It is suggested that Leyte Normal University develop a Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree curriculum that can be given in the university with the approval of the Commission on Higher Education.
