Resumo: O estudo tem o propósito de verificar as contribuições da aplicação da ferramenta Produção Mais Limpa em uma fábrica de cadernos localizada na cidade de Campina Grande -PB. Para tanto, executou-se uma pesquisa descritiva de caráter exploratório. Quanto aos meios configura-se como qualitativa, conduzida sob a forma de estudo de caso. Os dados primários foram obtidos por intermédio de uma entrevista estruturada com o gerente de produção da fábrica. O estudo buscou avaliar e identificar a possível viabilidade econômica e ecológica da implementação de torneiras de pressão ou com sensores de presença em uma instituição de ensino superior. No qual, através de mapeamento dos banheiros, pesquisa de mercado e bibliográfica pôde-se definir que as torneiras utilizadas atualmente representam um impacto ambiental negativo. Além do alto consumo de água, pôde-se observar que o desperdício decorrente das torneiras presentes nos banheiros, basicamente por não serem fechadas completamente pelos usuários ou por falta de manutenção e assim comparar com as de pressão e com sensores. A troca de tais torneiras por aquelas de pressão são viáveis, representando um ganho ambiental, baixo custo, além de trazer um marketing verde positivo e agregar valores a instituição. Portanto, este estudo busca propor melhorias através de novas tecnologias para buscar soluções a uma questão tão urgente do nosso tempo. Palavras-chave: Torneira. Consumo de água. Desperdício.
