ZAPPAROLI, Liliane GenainFaculdade de Jaguariúna RESUMO: O objetivo deste estudo foi refletir acerca das peculiaridades da instituição de Incentivo a Crianças e Adolescentes , e suas consequências para formação da identidade de crianças e adolescentes. O método utilizado para alcançar os objetivos propostos foi a utilização, na Instituição de Incentivo a Crianças e Adolescentes (ICA), de observação participativa em três encontros com cerca de quarenta jovens, com idade entre 10 á 15 anos. A Instituição é voltada para crianças e adolescentes em situação de vulnerabilidade social e tem como objetivo desenvolver a consciência da realidade e de suas potencialidades através do aprimoramento moral, ético e de cidadania, viabilizando a capacitação profissional dos jovens, criando espaço de expressão e produção artística. Os resultados obtidos revelam que a Instituição é vista pelos jovens de forma positiva. A instituição oferece espaço para que o adolescente desenvolva seus papéis sociais, contribuindo também para a formação da identidade destes indivíduos.
