Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a multicarrier transmission system that can achieve high data rate over wireless channels. At the same time, multiple input multiple output OFDM (MIMO-OFDM) in wireless communication systems has been exposed to offer significant improvement over wireless technology by providing transmit diversity. It has become a promising technique for high-performance 5G broadband wireless communications. However, the main problem associated with MIMO-OFDM is that its signal exhibits high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR), which causes nonlinear distortion and consequently performance degradation. Besides, PAPR carries weaknesses such as an increase in power consumption of high power amplifier (HPA) and analog to digital converter (ADC). Thus, 5G base stations will push up power requirements because energy consumption grows with the number of transceiver elements. So, mobile operators must find the right compromise that, on the one hand, guarantees a certain level of performance to a data flow, and, on the other hand, the energy cost generated for the deployment of the network. For this, as part of the management of power consumption, we propose MIMO constant envelope OFDM (MIMO-CE-OFDM) technique. In this work, we used MIMO-CE-OFDM to mitigate the nonlinear effect of HPA and ADC. To perform practical simulations, we have used COST 2100 MIMO channel model. In this paper, a MIMO-CE-OFDM system has been presented and analyzed under COST 2100 channel model conditions. Simulation results are given to illustrate the performance of [Formula: see text] MIMO-CE-OFDM in the presence of both HPA and ADC nonlinearity. This work shows that the effect of nonlinearity is shown to be negligible on MIMO-CE-OFDM signal.
This paper presents the bit error rate performance of the low density parity check (LDPC) with the concatenation of convolutional channel coding based orthogonal frequency-division-multiplexing (OFDM) using space time block coded (STBC). The OFDM wireless communication system incorporates 3/4-rated convolutional encoder under various digital modulations (BPSK, QPSK and QAM) over an additative white gaussian noise (AWGN) and fading (Raleigh and Rician) channels. At the receiving section of the simulated system, Maximum Ratio combining (MRC) channel equalization technique has been implemented to extract transmitted symbols without enhancing noise power.

In this paper, we study the performance of Low density Parity Check (LDPC) coded orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (COFDM) systems when they are applied on the short data block of a narrowband (NB) power line communications (PLC) channel. In the modelled system simulations have been performed using different code lengths. It is assumed that the channel has a multipath propagation with two different noise scenarios: AWGN background noise with and without the presence of impulsive noise. Performances of Various soft and hard decision LDPC decoder schemes such as belief propagation (BP), weighted bit flipping (WBF), improved weighted bit flipping (IWBF) and implementation-efficient reliability ratio based weighted bit flipping (IRRWBF) decoders were investigated. It has been shown for all simulations performed in PLC channel model showed that remarkable performance improvement can be achieved by using short-length LDPC codes. Especially, the improvements are striking when the BP decoding algorithms are employed on the receiver side.
<p>Radio over fiber technology will play an important role in solving problems facing wireless technology. Envisaging a global village, people could transmit and receive “anytime, anywhere, and anything”. In addition, the explosive growth in internet applications such as the World Wide Web, demonstrates the tremendous increase in bandwidth and low power that the coming world of multimedia interactive applications will require from future networks. ROF technology uses multicarrier modulation like orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), which provides an opportunity of having an increased in bandwidth together with an affordable cost and this idea has recently become a suitable topic for many research works. On the other hand, SAC-OCDMA (Spectral Amplitude Coding Optical Code Division Multiple Access) technique is able to enhance the data rate of system and increase the number of user. In this paper we introduce a ROF link using a hybrid OFDM/SAC-OCDMA technique.</p>
Ku band. The results show that the imaginary part of permittivity is quite weak, and can be considered as zero, which means that there is no dielectric loss. It is shown that the decrease in the spacing between the inclusions strongly affects the magnetic response in comparison with the dielectric response of the two composites, which is characterized by a ferromagnetic resonance peak FMR. We also present an investigation related to an electromagnetic radiation absorber for a preselected frequency range between 12 and 18 GHz. With the increase of microwire spacing, the minimum reflection loss decreases firstly and then increases, and shifts towards lower frequency band.
