In this modern world where contemporary educators are now dwelling in an ever-changing domain of corporate trends, innovations, transformation and improvements, it is, therefore, substantial to identify whether the programs offered by our academic institution can adapt to these moving developments. This objective can be achieved by following and tracing the arrays of our graduates. This study delved at tracing the graduates of
Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) where the student-trainees who were enrolled in the Internship Program of the College of Criminology undertook their On -the-Job Training. A total of one hundred thirteen (113) students were evaluated based on their performance in terms of their personal characteristics, attitude towards the job, job performance and job competence. Feedback from their trainers indicated that they exceptionally exhibited skills during their On-the-Job Training which resulted in a very satisfactory response from their trainers. The trainers noticed that the students were well-equipped and trained to the jobs related to the different areas in the field of Cri minology. It was also recognized by their supervisors that the students were very enthusiastic to learn new skills. However, some recommendations were also proposed by the researchers and that include the revisiting of the existing curriculum of the program to ensure that it is aligned with the skills needed in the industry.
To define and evaluate the areas of consideration concerning in identifying the critical factors that top universities in Nueva Ecija, Philippines can be used for triangulating the courses of actions that can be applied to improve the current practices of universities towards its combat to the COVID–19 disease is the primary objective of this study. The researchers used a descriptive design of methodology by using questionnaire–checklist to scientifically describe the situation, problems, phenomenon, or program, or provide information about certain issues related to the virus outbreak. The respondents of the study were faculty and staff of five established universities in Nueva Ecija, Philippines wherein the researchers employed a non–probability sampling technique to be logically assumed as the representative of the entire population. The results of the study shown that the top universities in Nueva Ecija have made efforts to ensure the safety of university workers by complying with the Inter–Agency Task Force (IATF) protocols. It can be inferred, in reality, that there are some areas that must be improved especially when it comes to ensuring the welfare of the personnel who are still reporting to work even in this time of the pandemic. The researchers suggested an enhancement plan that can be adapted by these universities to resolve the concerns of the faculty and staff especially in reducing the spread of the virus without sacrificing the day–to–day transactions of the academic institutions.
The importance of traffic laws is undeniable because it is designed to protect both the lives of the drivers and passengers. Having sufficient knowledge of rules on the road and much more on practicing those rules make a driver skilled and would surely minimize the accidents or crash on the road. This study was accomplished with the objective of determining the knowledge and level of compliance of the tricycle drivers on traffic rules and regulations in terms of Ten Commandments of traffic, pavement markings and, traffic signs/signals and islands in Cabanatuan City which is known as the Tricycle City of the Philippines. With the objective of gaining new insights with the current situation in the said subject, the researcher used a descriptive research method. The respondents of this study were the 100 driver-members of selected Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA) in Cabanatuan City who were randomly chosen from different barangays. It has been found out in this study that the motorists are knowledgeable in terms of the traffic rules and regulations but on the contrary, they are not always compliant. Based on the results of this study, the researcher suggests the refurbishing of the driver licensing system and the strict implementation of the existing laws on road traffic management.
