Objectives: To explore the non-biological risk factors for dementias; to suggest probable risk profiles for Alzheimer's disease; to propose elements for a possible development of preventive interventions.Methodology: Empirical comparison of a dementia group (108 patients) and a control group (49 individuals without dementia). A specific questionnaire was administered and were identified the significant differences. An alpha level of 0.05 was used for all statistical tests.
General conclusions:The most relevant is the high incidence of early death of father and personality deficits in the factor I (Energy): imitation, avoidance, dependence. As possible preventive measures they are suggested to promote personal autonomy, the ability to cope, and relations with others.
El contexto de esta investigación se enmarca en las características que posee un docente universitario, así como su esencia personal destacando en el ámbito profesional los métodos y estrategias que emplea en el aula de clase, todo esto bajo el manto de los valores como guía en formación académica. Para los estudiantes es importante que el docente cumpla ciertos requisitos tales como su preparación académica y sus cualidades respecto a la formación de sus valores éticos y morales. La investigación tiene fundamentación teórica en la cual se extrae el estudio de las dimensiones del perfil docente, como sistemas de creencias, valores y formación profesional. Se exponen un compendio de definiciones en cuanto a premisas de los relatos e historias de vida de docentes universitarios sobre alteridad y otredad. La metodología empleada en la investigación es de corte cualitativo, interpretativo, exploratorio e inédito para la publicación de un libro como propuesta.
