In this paper, we present the fabrication of an all polymer diode, including the substrate and the electrodes. An insulating film of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) is sandwiched between two polymer electrodes: a poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)/poly(4-styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT/PSS) and assembled in a polyester flexible substrate. The IxV curves show not only asymmetry but also exhibit current rectification. Also, the IxV curves suggest the existence of different electron transport mechanisms in each interface metal-insulating and insulating-metal.
In this work, an investigation about the interconnection effects in single-electron circuits is carried out by simulation. Circuit models for interconnections are presented, considering different materials, areas and lengths. Furthermore, a possible solution for decreasing the interconnect effects is proposed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
