Our findings support an association between EBV and SLE. The elevated titre of EBV-EA/D-directed IgA antibodies found in SLE patients could suggest reactivation of EBV in epithelial cells or reinfection of epithelial cells after reactivation in B cells, indicating lack of control of the latent infection.
A case of severe erythroblastosis fetalis due to the Wright antibody anti-Wr* is reported. The mother was challenged for the fist time with the corresponding antigen in the actual pregnancy. External version was tried several times in the last trimester which might have caused a large feto-maternal bleeding.
