El uso de la realidad virtual (RV) en el diseño de proyectos puede ser una herramienta útil para facilitar el trabajo colaborativo a distancia, la toma de decisiones y el entendimiento espacial. Asimismo, puede ser un buen instrumento en el proceso de enseñanza- aprendizaje de la arquitectura. Aquí analizamos una experiencia colectiva de trabajo remoto donde estudiantes de arquitectura utilizaron modelación 3D y RV inmersiva en una actividad de dos semanas guiada por docentes. Mediante encuestas, entrevistas, y observaciones, buscamos entender el impacto de estas tecnologías en el proceso creativo, de aprendizaje y representacional de los/las estudiantes. Los resultados muestran que el tiempo de capacitación y experimentación es fundamental, que los equipos docentes requieren mayor aceptación al cambio, que los formatos finales deben ser coherentes con las herramientas usadas, y que existe gran diferencia en la percepción de estas tecnologías entre hombres y mujeres.
Este informe aborda las percepciones de un grupo de estudiantes de pedagogía, de 4° y 5° año, de tres universidades de Santiago, respecto de su formación profesional y la repercusión que esta podría tener en su desempeño laboral, considerando el nuevo escenario aportado por la nueva carrera docente implementada en Chile 2016. Para esto se empleó un cuestionario de autoaplicación, trabajado a través de matrices de análisis de textualidades, que, posteriormente, fueron interpretadas y descritas. Los principales hallazgos informan que temas como “acreditación universitaria”, “vinculación con el medio” e “investigación” no son manejados suficientemente por los estudiantes. Asimismo, sus percepciones son críticas respecto de las metodologías empleadas por los docentes universitarios en relación con el mundo de la escuela. No obstante, valoran (en el caso de dos de las universidades participantes), que haya prácticas tempranas que permiten constatar la vida de la profesión docente y la vocación profesional. En síntesis, el contraste con el mundo de la escuela lleva a los jóvenes a problematizar y discutir su formación, correlacionándola con el actual escenario de la carrera docente, su sentido y su proceso.
