El objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar la efectividad del hongo T. Harzianum como biofertilizante en el cultivo de arroz (O. sativa L.) para una producción ecosostenible. Se realizó en la comunidad Las Gilces-Crucita, cantón Portoviejo, provincia de Manabí. Se emplearon métodos de nivel teórico como: inductivo-deductivo, análisis-síntesis, analítico y experimental. La investigación fue un Diseño de Bloques al Azar. Donde se dispuso cuatro tratamientos con dosis diferentes más un control y cuatro repeticiones, se evaluó desde la siembra hasta el final de la cosecha. Las variables fueron: altura de la planta (cm), número de macollos y productividad del cultivo (kg/ha-1). Con los resultados obtenidos de las variables respuestas, para la evaluación y comparación de medias de los tratamientos se realizó la prueba de significación de Tukey al 5% de probabilidad y para la construcción del análisis de varianza (ANOVA) se utilizó el software estadístico InfoStat. Los resultados que se obtuvieron fueron: el mejor tratamiento para la variable altura de la planta fue el 1 (150 gr/ha-1) con una media de 107,80 cm, para número de macollos el 1 (150 gr/ha-1) con una media de 157,50 macollos y el tratamiento que dio más alta producción fue el 3 (450 gr/ha-1) con una media de 8068,1 kg/ha-1, comparándolo con el método de producción tradicional (uso de agroquímicos).
