El mundo empresarial hoy en día se rige por constantes cambios, y son éstos a los que los gerentes modernos se enfrentan. Reconocer que existen herramientas gerenciales que ayuden a mantener a los colaboradores motivados y dentro de las instituciones es un reto al que no escapa ninguna institución en la actualidad. El mentoring como herramienta gerencial ayuda a darle importancia a los conocimientos de los expertos y su valor para los colaboradores, generando una relación de confianza entre unos y otros, que se traducen en productividad empresarial. El presente artículo fue un estudio caso de enfoque cualitativo, con diseño no experimental transeccional, de alcance descriptivo; (Hernández Sampieri y otro, 2007). Los principales descubrimientos de este trabajo se traducen en la implementación de herramientas de Mentoring a través del Modelo CERCA de Valderrama (2009).
Las organizaciones en la actualidad deben adaptarse constantemente a los cambios que se les presentan, gracias a la globalización, buscan ser más eficaces y eficientes, dando paso a la aparición de herramientas y elementos que, desde su conceptualización ofrezcan facilidades y crecimiento al entorno organizacional. Las nuevas prácticas organizacionales llegaron para quedarse, herramientas gerenciales como el Mentoring, hacen parte importante del día a día de la organización, al igual que la innovación. Innovar ya no es una opción de elección para las organizaciones, es ahora, una gestión de orden natural en ellas, la cual debe ser sostenible y sustentable en la búsqueda de nuevos retos empresariales y comerciales, el paradigma es dejar de pensar que innovar no es fácil para las organizaciones, pero cuando se tiene un acompañamiento correcto, se logra ir más allá, avanzar a un ritmo que permita no solo ir rápido, sino más rápido, lograr una velocidad 10x. Es entonces cuando por medio del uso de la herramienta de mentoring para el proceso de innovación, se logra que sus componentes no solo se desarrollen sino, que se ejecuten de una manera extraordinaria
