Introducción: La autonomía, necesidad imperiosa del ser humano para asumir con responsabilidad social y conscientes, el propio aprendizaje (Holec, 1981); se ha convertido en un reto para la educación, lograr un alto grado o nivel autónomo en los estudiantes, no solo en el aprendizaje, también en la adquisición de las lenguas y el uso de la tecnología. Objetivo:Demostrar que la metodología basada en el método de proyecto desarrolla la autonomía en el aprendizaje del inglés en estudiantes de la carrera de Lengua Inglesa. Métodos: Se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo; según su finalidad; es aplicada, diseño pre- experimental; de tipo descriptiva, explicativa. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó como instrumento un cuestionario de 30 preguntas, aplicado a una muestra de 48 estudiantes; a través de la encuesta como técnica. Resultados: Se reflejaron diferencias relevantes y significativas en los resultados antes y después de aplicado el experimento, resultando una sig. = ,000 <0,05; por lo que se rechazó la H0, y se aceptó la Hi. Conclusiones: Demostrándose que la metodología basada en el método de proyecto (MDP) no solo desarrolla significativamente la autonomía en el aprendizaje del inglés (AAI), sino también desarrolla las dimensiones, niveles, formación actitudinal contextualizada y las implicaciones didácticas; en consecuencia, egresarán estudiantes con un alto desarrollo en su autonomía, a la altura de las exigencias del modelo del profesional del siglo XXI, independientes en su aprendizaje.
El uso de la plataforma online Padlet como herramienta educativa está ganando terreno poco a poco en el campo del aprendizaje del inglés debido a su potencial para mejorar el compromiso de los estudiantes. En vista a ello, se realizó la investigación que se presenta con el objetivo de analizar el mejoramiento del aprendizaje de inglés al nivel de 8vo grado de Enseñanza General Básica (EGB) a través del uso de Padlet como herramienta didáctica para el desarrollo de competencias lingüísticas y comunicativas. La investigación se realizó siguiendo los pasos metodológicos de un estudio cuantitativo, hipotético-deductivo y descriptivo. Con ello, se seleccionó una muestra aleatoria de 56 estudiantes, de la cual, mediante la aplicación de un cuestionario de 10 preguntas, se conoció acerca de las percepciones positivas de los estudiantes respecto al uso e influencia positiva de Padlet en el desarrollo de dichas habilidades necesarias para el aprendizaje de la lengua inglesa. Por último, se ejecutó un diseño experimental pretest-postest y la prueba de hipótesis t-Student para muestras relacionadas, corroborándose así la efectividad de la aplicación de Padlet al relatarse ciertos hallazgos referentes a la existencia de diferencias estadísticamente significativas en relación con las calificaciones de la asignatura de inglés obtenidas por el estudiantado en distintos períodos evaluativos.
