« Fondation Louis-Vuitton pour la création » building: 2D and 3D FEM geotechnical models -comparison between calculated and observed displacements
AbstractThe « Fondation Louis-Vuitton pour la création » is an exceptional building built close to the « Jardin d'acclimatation » in Paris: it is a raft-founded building inside an excavation with diaphragm walls. It has a complex 3D geometry and loading, and is very sensitive to deformations; in addition it works in a « unloading state » (weight of the excavated ground higher than the applied loads) and in a geological context including clay layers with long-term behaviour. For the project phase studies, the Designer studied the soil/structure interaction
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
