Die Schlüsse, zu denen ich bei meinen Untersuchungen über die Physiologie der Schwangerschaft gekommen bin und die ich am 18. Februar d. J. in der Genootschap ter bevordering der Natuur-, Genees-enHeelkunde vorgetragen habe, sind die folgenden:
kam eine chondrodystrophisehe Zwergin als Kreißende in meine Behandlung. Das Becken war so verengt, daß von der Geburt eines lebenden Kindes auf natürlichem Wege nicht die Rede sein konnte. Die Person hatte sich 35 Jahre lang virginell erhalten, um nunmehr im 36. Lebensjahre zu konzipieren und zur Entbindung zu kommen. Entsprechend den Grundsätzen der modernen Geburtshilfe, habe ich natürlich den Kaiserschnitt gemacht. und zu meiner Freude ein lebendes, wohl gebildetes Kind an das Licht der Welt befördert und die 1utter gesund entlassen. An dem gleichen Tage wurde ein hildhiihsches Mädchen von 18 Jahren in meiner Klinik entbunden von einem toten Anencephalus. Dieses Spiel des Zufalls wurde ich weiter nicht beachtet. haben, wenn nicht ungefähr gleichzeitig M. Hirsch in einer unserer wissenschaft lichen, geburtshilflichen Zeitschriften eine kürzere Mitteilung hätte erscheinen lassen, die von uns Geburtshelfern verlangt, daß wir die Rassenhygiene mehr als bisher beriicksichtigen und nicht nur schematisch den alten Regeln der Kunst nachgehen, sondern erwägen, wie clic Lehen der Kinder, die unter unserer Leitung das Licht der Welt erblicken, fur die Allgemeinheit. bewertet werden miissen. Rassenhygiene oder nach dem Vorschlag von Galton Eugenik soll, so will s Hirsch, von uns fur die mdikat ionsstellung benutzt , und höchst eingreifende Ma ßregeln sollen aus , ,eugenischen Erwägungen' angest rebt. werden.
Kurzem wäre die Mittheilung auch nur eines Falles von Krebs des Gebärmutterkdrpers als eine Rarität von hohem literesse gewesen, die Seltenheit und der verborgene Sitz der Erkrankung rechtfertigten sicher jede Casuistik. Die Resultate einer Arbeit von C. Ruge und mir') haben allerdings hieran manches geändert. Wenn es uns In der-. selben gelang, über 20 eigene Beobachtungen zu veröffentlichen, so bewies das mit Sicherheit eine grössere häufigkeit der Erkrankung, als man bisher annahm. In der kurzen Zeit seit dem Erscheinen unserer Arbeit ist die literarische Casuistik sicherer Fälle nicht übermässig gewachsen, doch zeigt schon die Notiz von Qishausen'), der unter 20 Uterusexstirpationen wegen Krebs drei liörpercarcinome fand, dass unsere Angabe über die grössere Häufigkeit auch wohl von anderer Seite Bestätigung finden wird. Seit dem Abschluss unserer Arbeit vor etwas 1 '/2 Jahren habe ich selbst 3 weitere Fälle von primärem auf das Corpus beschränkten Carcinom beobachtet, die ein besonderes Interesse durch die verschiedenen mikroskopischen Bilder und die bei allen dreien ausgeführte Uterusexstirpation gewähren. ich theile dieselben im Folgenden mit, um so mehr, als unter den ersten 21 von uns untersuchten Fällen sich nur 4 Radicaloperationen befinden (2 von Schroeder, je 1 von A. Martin und luir). Die Einzelheiten der Fälle scheinen mir im Wesentlichen für das über den Körperkrebs schon früher mitgetheilte zu sprechen, doch ist gerade die Art der Diagnose und der Therapie immerhin noch besprechenswerth.')
