INTRODUCCIÓNLos alumnos de Medicina, desde el primer día en que examinan un paciente, necesitan tener el conocimiento de la Anatomía para interpretar sus observaciones (Moore 1997). Se han realizado numerosos trabajos que han enfocado la importancia de la enseñanza de la Anatomía Humana, incorporando nuevas estrategias y métodos de enseñanza aprendizaje (Guiraldes et al., 1995;Bravo & Inzunza, 1995; Collipal, 2001 y Guiraldes et al., 2001.En el curso de Anatomía, los estudiantes de Medicina deben aprender a reconocer las principales estructuras anatómicas humanas y el programa del curso se concibe como un instrumento que permitirá al alumno alcanzar conocimientos, habilidades y actitudes en relación a la estructura macroscópica del cuerpo humano, que lo capacitarán para poder cursar otras asignaturas del currículo de la Carrera.En la descripción general de la asignatura, el aspecto práctico en el programa del curso se considera una de las partes más importantes y la disección por regiones ha de capacitar a los alumnos para comprender el estudio de la práctica medico-quirúrgica en su oportunidad.Sin duda, los elementos de apoyo a la enseñanza, como programas computacionales y multimedia, radiografías, módulos de autoaprendizaje, se han concebido para que el alumno se apoye y complete a mayor cabalidad su aprendizaje. RESUMEN:La memoria juega un papel crucial en el funcionamiento humano, debido a que todas las actividades, desde la más simple a la más compleja, requieren de un sistema de memoria activo, que guíe las acciones. En relación a la memoria semántica, ésta es necesaria para el uso del lenguaje, organiza el conocimiento que una persona posee acerca de las palabras y símbolos verbales, sus significados y referencias y las relaciones entre ellos.Con el propósito de analizar el significado que tiene, la Anatomía Humana, para los alumnos de Medicina en el transcurso de su Carrera, hemos realizado este trabajo utilizando la técnica de redes semánticas naturales.Entrevistamos a 70 alumnos de la Carrera de Medicina (40 de segundo año y 30 internos 6º y 7º años) que en el transcurso de las asignaturas de Anatomía A-1 y A-2 tuvieron a su disposición recursos instruccionales como, programas computacionales, textos, placas radiológicas, entre otros. En el programa del curso, el aspecto práctico (la disección), fue considerado una de las partes más importantes del curso, por lo que, durante cada semestre, se le asignó mayor cantidad de tiempo.Tanto para los alumnos de segundo año e internos las palabras que estaban presentes en ambos grupos, con un valor alto para la representación del concepto Anatomía fueron: cadáver, cuerpo, disección y estudio. Los resultados demuestran que el estudio práctico en el cadáver es para los alumnos lo más importante y lo que tiene un mayor peso semántico del recuerdo de Anatomía.El estudio de la Anatomía Humana en base a la observación y disección del cadáver es un método que de alguna manera contribuye en forma eficiente a la comprensión de esta ciencia.
