Die sog. h y p e r K m i s e h e n E r y t h e m e umfassen ein grol~es Gebiet oberflKchlicher, nicht kontagiSser Exantheme. In ihren Haupttypen sind sie skarlatiniform, morbilliform, makul~s und roseolar. Nach ihren Ursaehen unterseheidet man 1. solehe bei spezifisehen Infektionskrankheiten, wie Scharlach, Masern, Varizellen, Variola, Typhus; 2. solehe bei Infektionen mit nicht charakteristischer Eruption, so bei Rheumatismus, Influenza, Malaria, Tuberkulose, Pneumonie, zerebro-spinaler Meningitis, Trypanosomiasis, Beri-Beri, Dengue und Gonorrhoe. Bei Cholera, Diphtherie und Tetanus sind die Mikroben lokalisiert und wirken dureh in das Blut eintretende Toxine. Es ist immer schwierig das wahre rheumatische Fieber zu unterscheiden yon einigen dieser tox~mischen und infektiSsen Zu-st~nden, bei denen die allgemeinen StSrungen, besonders das Befallensein der Gelenke, Knoehen und Muskeln, sehr der rheumatischen Vergiftung ~hneln. $olche ZustKnde hat man bei Vorhandensein yon Erythemen und Purpura oft als rheumatoid bezeichnet. 3. Erytheme kommen vor bei Septiki~mien, Py~mien, sapr~misehen Vergiftungen; hierher gehSren die sog. Puerperalfieber und die infektiSse Endokarditis. 4. Erytheme kommen zu stande dureh die Absorption yon Toxinen yon Infektionsquellen aus, so yon Anginen, aphthSser Stomatitis, Impetigo contagiosa, Vakzinewunden, septisehen Wunden jeder Art. Hierher gehSren die skarlatiniformen Exantheme, wie sie der Autor nach oft leichten Operationen gesehen hat. 5. Erytheme kSnnen derNahrungsaufnahme folgen,wenn diese Ptomaine enth~lt, welche durch die Einwirkung yon Bakterien auf stickstoffhaltige Produkte produziert werden. Der yon T h i n i u s empfohlene Apparat besteht aus einer Kochsalzbiirette yon 300 ccm Inhalt, einem doppelt durchbohrten Gummistopfen, einem Glastrichter mit Hahn, gebogenem Glasrohr, an das sich ein Gummischlauch ansetzt, der mittels eines Dreiwegeglasrohrs zu dem Quetschhahn und dem Gebl~ise fiihrt.
