SUMMARY For the fast prototyping, production, and delivery of commercial radio frequency products/systems, accurate and reliable test systems are necessary. These systems are usually product customized and thus expensive solutions, capable of performing all necessary measurements for a specific product. The purpose of this paper is to present a flexible cost‐effective test solution, capable of realizing all necessary measurement on a high output power amplifier system greater than 500 W, and to generate essential reports. These reports allow the system operator to (i) perform an analysis and a statistical comparison among various products, assuring that the quality is the same for all products; and (ii) retain products that present a performance poorer than other similar products, without a rigorous technical analysis, thus increasing efficiency in factory assembly line. Nowadays the world passes for a change process in the definition of the standard to be adopted for the television signals broadcasting. Around the entire world many concentrate efforts have been doing for the most important centers of research to get the answer for the question: What is the more convenient digital transmission system that can substitute the conventional analog one. During many years, a great number of telecommunication companies have been acquiring a large experience to modeling, implementing and testing efficient devices. The purpose of this paper is to show the implementation of an AM-VSB modulator with digital technology using the Hilbert Transform.
Nowadays, the research and development of the modem RF power amplifier have been demanded an accurate study concentrated on the linearity. Besides the distortions caused by the nonlinear devices, we have been having a constant improvement in the implementation of new modulation techniques by exploring the spectrum properties. The nonlinear performance caused by the devices is a fundamental effect, which have invoked the attention of many researchers in many famous research centers around the entire world. They have been used extremely in the actual telecommunications systems, being the main focus in the specific case of the transmission of digital signals for TV. In this paper, we present some fundamental steps already accomplished in the project of an equipment for digital transmission HDTV systems that the INATEL with the Linear Electronic Equipment Co. have been implementing in Brazil.Index terms -RF Power Amplifier, Adaptive Linearization and Digital Signals: l a n d Q.
