Television (TV) broadcasters are looking for effective and low cost production methods for audiovisual content to be used on mobile devices. In this article we present an approach for the effective adaptation of audiovisual TV content to meet the specific requirements of mobile devices, TV producers as well as user expectations. The approach takes advantage of the present transition in TV production technology from expensive TV specific equipment to adapted standard information technology (IT) hardware. This changeover allows the inclusion of comprehensive metadata into the production workflow which also can be utilized for mobile TV production, e.g. as TV content productions parameters like picture detail (e.g. panorama, total, half total). Considering some preconditions the approach allows an automated and simultaneous production for standard and mobile receivers, which can be used for live productions. 1
