Numerical Simulation of the Viscoelastic Nonlinear Behavior of an Explosive MaterialWe present the principle of two rheological models, used in finite element structural calculus to describe the behaviour of explosive aggregate material.Linear viscoelasticity allows to take into account time and temperature depending phenomena through a time-temperature equivalence law and the material history. The validity of this model however, is limited to the linearity range of the material which is quite small in most applications.Nonlinear viscoelasticity rules out this disadvantage and allows to describe the material behaviour from zero state to fracture. This model uses a time-pressure and a time-damage equivalence.Different calculus-experiments are compared. They confirm the validity of the second model over the whole utilization range of the material.
