Nous avons adapté les souches locales et NEETHLING, agents de la dermatose nodulaire aux cellules rénales de lapin. Elles provoquent la destruction des cellules et la formation d'inclusions cytoplasmiques. Après un certain nombre de passages, les souches virales sont encore pathogènes pour le veau. La séroneutralisation montre l'identité entre les souches locales et NEETHLING. Elles ne sont pas hémagglutinantes. Leur acide nucléique est de l'ADN
Nous avons isolé sur cellules rénales de veau en culture, des virus provenant de nodules cutanés prélevés chez des bovins locaux (zébus ou métis). Les caractères cytopathogènes (lyse cellulaire et inclusion) de ces virus ont été comparés à ceux des souches Sud-Africaines associées à la dermatose nodulaire. L'analogie de comportement entre les souches locales et NEETHLING, ainsi que les résultats similaires de la séro neutralisation nous font penser que ces souches sont très proches, sinon identiques

TOTOASY RESUME Les auteurs étudient divers facteurs conditionnant la mise en évidence du virus sui-pestique par la méthode d'exaltation du virus de,Newcastle, en culture cellulaire (test E.N.D.). Ils ont retenu comme milieu d'entretxn des cellules, celui de SCHWCIBEL enrichi avec du sérum de mouton (10 p. 100). La souche sui-pestique d'épreuve et les souches virulentes locales donnent un résultat positif. Les deux souches lapinisées étudiées donnent un résultat négatif. La rotation des tubes inoculés accélère le processus cyta-pathogène. La plupart des souches Newcastle utilisées comme virus révélateur conviennent. La gamme de dilutions du virus révélateur peut ètre relativement étendue. Certaines suspensions tissulaires trop cancentrées lysent les cellules. 11 est possible d'inocukr le matériel suspect avant que la nappe cellulaire sait complète. Mais l'inoculation le jour de-la mise en culture peut lyser les cellules, ou retarder leur déve-10ppeIllent.
