Die von mir benutzten Vcrsuchsvcrhliltnisse waren folgeiidc: Das vcrwandtc OlivxoI war raffiniert und hatte eine Jodzahl von 80.9. 60 g desselben wurden mit 0.283 g Katalysator, entsprechend etwa 0.028 6 der beiden hletalle, versetzt. Im Kohlen~lure.Strom begann die Reduktion bei 185O und war bei 22OoC Iieendet. Gleichzeitig war der schwarze Katalysator im 01 feinst verteilt. Der elcktrolylisch gewonnenc W?ssc:rstoff wurde in einer Menge voii 25 1 pro Std. durchgclcitcl, wahrcnd man die Temperatur auf 220' koiistant Iiielt. Zur Untcrsuchung nahm ich nach jewcils 15 Min. eine Probe dcs Oles heraus wid filtrierte sie durch ein Filtrierpapier init Aktivkohle (Schleichcr & Schiill Nr. 508). Das auf diese Weise erhaltene Rohfetl wurde auf Jodzahl urid Rhodanzahl gepriift. Aus diesen beiden Keiinzahlen errechnet sich tlann in der von H. P. K a u fin a n n angegebcnen Wcise der Prozentgehalt an gesattigten Sluren, olsaure und Linolsiure. Hierbci mu6 bemerkt werden, da6 unter Olsaure samtliche einfach ungeslttigten Sauren, also auch die Isoolsiiurc, zu versteheii siiid. Das Unverseifbare wurde mit 1 O/o angenommen, der Glycerinrest mit 4.5O/o in Ansatz gebrachl. Nachstehende Tafel sowie das daraus abgeleitete Diagramm zeigen das Ergebnis des Versuches.
