ChemInform Abstract Tl-doped ZnSe semiconductor electrodes, prepared by electrochemical codeposition, exhibit photoresponsivities significantly higher than that of undoped ZnSe electrodeposits prepared under similar conditions. The incorporation of Tl results in lowering of the band gap of ZnSe and in a substantially higher donor density indicating the possibility of enhancement of capture and conversion of light into electrical energy (capacitance measurements, current voltage behavior in the dark and under illumination in conjunction with photoaction spectral studies).
