INTRODUCCIÓNLas fracturas por estrés son una entidad poco frecuente, mayormente vistas solo en entidades militares y deportistas, sometidos a sobrecargas de ejercicio, de alta elite. La incidencia de estas lesiones están aumentando, asociada con una población más activa. Los mismos principios se aplican para su prevención y tratamiento. A continuación presentamos el caso clínico de una fractura incompleta de fémur distal derecha y su manejo. CASO CLÍNICOVarón de 17 años, quien acudió al Servicio de emergencia referido de un centro medico donde éste realiza actividades formativas tras sufrir gonalgia derecha desde hace 3 semanas que remite con AINES. Como antecedentes de relevancia destacan: El paciente realizó esfuerzo físico intenso producto de su formación militar.Se realizaron estudios de imagen radiológicos (Figura 1), además fueron descartadas las lesiones asociadas, presentando una fractura: Fractura por estrés supracondilea de fémur de trazo transversal incompleta asociado a reacción perióstica con callo duro en formación. A la exploración: Rodilla sin aumento de volumen.A la palpación: Dolor a la digito presión en bíceps crural, tendón cuádriceps y al varo.Movilidad: rangos articulares conservados, a la carga limitada por dolor.
