Bei Na-Pentachlorphenolat betrug der jeweilige Anteil an der Seife 0.45 O/o Haut. Die Anwendung einer Hexachlorophen-Seife ermoglicht eine Abkiirzung des Handewaschprozesses vor Operationen. I n vielen Kliniken konnte die Zehn-Minuten-Handreinigung vor Operationen auf 3 Min. herabgesetzt werden. Beim Tragen von Gummihandschuheii zeigte sich, dai3 sich normalerweise die Anzahl der Bakterien auf der Haut der Hande nach Istdg. Tragen verdoppelt hatte. Wurde,n aher die Hande vorher mit Hexachlorophen-Seife gewaschen, so verminderte sich die Anzahl der Bakterien auf der Haut der Hande unter den Gummihandschuhen innerhalb 1 Std. um 'die Halfte. Die Verwendung keimtotender Seifen setzt die Moglichkeit von Infektionen bei kleinen Hautverletzungen und oberflachlichen Wunden herab. Traub und Mitarbb. pruften die Wirkung der Hexachlorophen-Seife in einer Klinik fur Geisteskranke aus.
