Silanethione 2a and silaneselenone 2b—stabilized by intramolecular Si ← N coordination— are obtained as shown below. The X‐ray structure analysis of 2a, 1‐naphthyl instead of phenyl, reveals strong zwitterionic character, which might explain the unexpectedly low reactivity toward nucleophiles and electrophiles (a, X = S; b, X = Se).
NH4)2MoS4, orthorhombic, Pnma, a=9.57 (1), b=6.99 (1), c= 12.20 (1) A, V= 1816 A a, Z=4, D~=2.13 g cm -a, p(Cu K~)=217.8 cm -x. A new anisotropic refinement has been made with 571 reflexions collected with a diffractometer. The final R value is 0.067.
The crystal structure of the cubic phase of the complex perovskite Pb2CoWO6 is investigated by single crystal X‐ray diffraction and neutron powder diffraction. Both experiments lead to the same conclusion. The Pb atom is not on the special position of the prototype structure, but displaced from this position along the 〈110〉 directions leading to twelve local disorder positions. In addition to this disorder, O atoms are distributed on rings lying in planes orthogonal to Co‐O‐W directions.
