The synthesis and characterisation of a number of new coordination compounds of Pt n and Pd n with the nitrogen donor ligand pyrazole (PzH) is described. These compounds are cis-Pt(PzH)2X 2, trans-Pt(PzH)eX2, Pt(PzH)aXe'n H,O (n = 0 or 1), Pd(PzH)aX2 and Pt(PzH)4PtCl4 where X = C1, Br and I. cis-Pd(PzH)2X2 compounds could not be obtained: trans-Pd(PzH)xX2 compounds seem to exist in more than one crystal form. The new compounds were characterised by chemical analyses, x-ray powder diffraction, i.r. and far-i.r, and by IH n.m.r, spectroscopy. The metal(lI) ions are in all cases coordinated in a square planar geometry.
Die ionischen Verbindungen (I) wurden durch Reaktion der Dichloro‐bis‐[benzonitril]‐metallkomplexe mit einem Überschuß des Liganden in Aceton bzw. Benzol dargestellt und als Chloride bzw. Tetrachlorometallate isoliert.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
