The use of activated carbon from candlenut shells as an adsorbent to increase the quality of VCO has studied. The parameters tested were water content, free fatty acid, and peroxide. The results showed a decline in water levels from 0.1655% to 0.0597%, peroxide number decrease from 0.1991% to 0.0991%, and the free fatty acid content of 0.4186% to 0.366%.
