The Dielectric Wedge Antenna has been modified for radiation in free space. While the original antenna has been developed and built for radiation into the ground at low frequencies, the modified antenna has been designed for modified for radiation of ultra-short pulses with spectrum up to 11GHz. A modification of the antenna has been verified experimentally. It has been shown that the lower cut-off frequency of the antenna is of about 2GHz.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
