Multiaxial Fatigue -Test Results Versus Strength Hypotheses. The fatigue strength of components depends on the strength of the material, the geometry, the Ioading and the manufacturing process. The influences on the fatigue strength under muitiaxial Ioading have been investigated. The materials studied are the QT steel 34CrNiMo6, the austempered ductile cast iron ADI 1000, and the ductile cast iron GJS 620. Furthermore the test results are compared with results of lifetime calculations using various strength hypotheses. Phase shifts between normal and shear stresses lead to an overestimation of the lifetime.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
