An investigation of the mass spectrum of titanium tetrachloride prepared from both con~mercial titanium dioxide and titanium minerals has been carried out, using a 180" Nier-type mass spectrometer. Values for the relative abundances of the titanium and chlorine isotopes have been found. Measurements of the singly ionized trichloride group show that any variation in the relative abundances of the isotopes of titanium contained in these samples must be less than one per cent.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
