Resumen La influencia de las condiciones operacionales sobre el comportamiento mecánico de las uniones realizadas con adhesivos constituye uno de los temas más controvertidos y principal causa de la disparidad de resultados obtenidos en los ensayos. El estado superficial de los materiales a unir y el espesor de la capa de adhesivo en la unión constituyen dos parámetros fundamentales para un correcto diseño de unión estructural. Adhesivos tipo cianoacrilato y poliuretano aplicados a materiales metálicos galvanizados, aluminizados o prepintados presentan diferencias importantes en la resistencia mecánica de sus uniones, según los parámetros operatorios empleados, que serán analizados en este trabajo. La resistencia mecánica de las uniones está interrelacionada con el modo de rotura producido dúctil-frágil y con el mecanismo cohesión-descohesión, aspectos incluidos en este estudio.
