RESUMOO herbici da sistémico imazapyr foi usado no controle da taboa (Typha subulata Crespo & Peres-Moreau f.) em drenos de irrigação, como alternativa ao controle mecânico. O resíduo do princípio ativo do herbicida na água foi analisado por cromatografia líquida de alta performance (H PL C) . A cu rv a de di ss ip aç ão de im az ap yr mostrou que o herbicida pode ser usado para o con tro le de tab oa em dre nos de irr iga ção , sem causar danos a culturas vizinhas, desde que a água seja usada, no mínimo, depois de 1,6 a 3,7 dias da aplicação das doses de 500 a 1500 g ha -1 , respectivamente.Palavras chave: resíduo, herbicida, mon ito rament o amb ien tal , imp act o amb ien tal , planta daninha.
