Five years of developments in the teaching of robotics in the cybernetics degree courses at the University of Bradford, UK are described, together with their educational underpinnings. Robotics is used as a cohesive theme throughout the courses, helping a diverse student body learn a variety of skills and enhancing their employability.
Teaching system identification to undergraduate students A final year course in system identification for undergraduate electrical engineers is described. Details of the course organisation are given, particularly with reference to the practical content of the course. Based on student feedback and assessment results, the aims of the course appear to have been largely achieved.
