Angular distributions of deuterons elastically and inelastically scattered on 7 Li nuclei with excitation of the 0.478 MeV (J π = 1/2 − ) level, and tritons from the 7 Li(d, t) 6 Li reaction, corresponding to transitions to the ground (J π = 1 + ) and low-lying excited states (J π = 3 + and 0 + ) of the 6 Li nucleus were measured at the 25 MeV energy. The experimental data were analyzed within the framework of the coupled reaction channels and a modified distorted-wave methods. The values of the spectroscopic factors and the asymptotic normalization coefficients for the 7 Li → 6 Li + n vertex were extracted.
In this study, the angular distribution of the 16 O+ 10 B elastic scattering was measured at E lab ( 16 O) = 24 MeV. In addition to our experimental data, this nuclear system was theoretically analyzed at different energies to study the dynamics of scattering for this system. The data were analyzed within the framework of the double-folding optical potential model. The values of the spectroscopic factors (SA) for the configuration 16 O→ 10 B+ 6 Li were extracted at the energies at which the effect of the 6 Li cluster transfer on the cross-sections at backward angles is observed. The energy dependence of the reaction cross-section for this system was also investigated.
Elastic and inelastic scattering of [Formula: see text]-particles at 48.1[Formula: see text]MeV and 3He at 60[Formula: see text]MeV on [Formula: see text]O nuclei has been measured with excitation of states at 6.05 (0[Formula: see text])–6.13 (3[Formula: see text])[Formula: see text]MeV, 6.92 (2[Formula: see text])–7.12 (1[Formula: see text])[Formula: see text]MeV and 8.87 (2[Formula: see text])[Formula: see text]MeV. The center-of-mass beam momenta are the same for these two strongly absorbed particles. Analysis of angular distributions was performed in the frameworks of the optical model, the coupled channels method and the Distorted Wave Born Approximation (DWBA). A good description of experimental data was obtained over the full angular range without taking into account the spin-orbit interaction and the cluster transfer mechanism with real potentials that have volume integrals of about 400[Formula: see text]MeV fm3. Collective and microscopic models were used in the analysis of the inelastic scattering. The values of the octupole deformation lengths were extracted. It is shown that nuclear rainbow effects appear not only in the elastic, but also in the inelastic scattering with excitation of the 3[Formula: see text] state of [Formula: see text]O.
Surface-barrier structures based on thin high-purity GaAs epilayers with a polyethylene converter were studied as fast neutron detectors. A continuous Schottky barrier with a large area of 5 × 5 mm 2 to the high-purity GaAs epilayers was fabricated using a Pt/TiN/Au metallization system. Results of measurement of electric parameters and α-particle spectra are presented. The fast neutron spectra from the 241 Am-Be source measured by the recoil proton method for various thicknesses of the polyethylene converter and various operating biases are shown as well. The proposed detectors have shown high neutron detection efficiency of 1.30 • 10 −3 puls./neutr. and an acceptable signal-to-background ratio (at level of 50) as well as the capability to operate efficiently without any external bias.
