This report contains P-wave data read from short-period seismograms of O the long-range seismic measurement arrays, known as the LRSM stations, and the New England network. This publication documents in a tabular format the Pwave amplitude and periods for a number of natural and man-made sources. This effort is part of a continuing program at the U.S. Geological Survey in the study of short-period seismic wave attenuation in the United States, under the project of "Seismic Wave Attenuation in Conterminous United States," of the Office of Earthquake, Volcanoes, and Engineering, Geological Division, in Denver, Colorado. The contributing sources of this database have been obtained and(or) extracted from Teledyne-Geotech, Alexandria Laboratories (recipient of the LRSM-data films) and Weston Observatory of Boston College in Massachusetts.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
