En este trabajo se aborda el efecto de la inversión del gobierno y la inversión del sector privado como determinantes del crecimiento económico, así también, se reportan estimaciones propias para una muestra trimestral de las variables en Perú durante el periodo 2000-2020. El objeto es determinar el efecto marginal de los determinantes inversión pública y privada en el crecimiento económico, para lo cual se han tomado las variables proxy presupuesto asignado para inversiones públicas, stock de inversiones privadas y PBI, respectivamente. Para este modelo usamos la metodología Estimadores Mínimo Cuadrados Ordinarios y Modelo autorregresivo integrado de media móvil, la evidencia encontrada respalda lo ya comentado en estudios anteriores en el sentido que existe una mayor relevancia de la inversión privada como determinante del crecimiento económico pues se encuentra que la dependencia entorno a la inversión privada es del 27%, mientras que, el 6% se da por parte de la inversión pública.
Existe una estrecha correlación entre economía y educación, es fundamental el efecto de la enseñanza en la vida económica de las personas, al igual que los hechos económico-financieros inciden en el nivel de educación presente y futuro. Existen investigaciones que analizan esta correlación y que muestra múltiples variables. Sin embargo, la presente investigación pretende explorar las variaciones de los determinantes del ingreso de trabajadores según actividad principal en el Perú entre los años 2019 – 2020, a través del método de los mínimos cuadrados ordinarios y ecuaciones de Mincer, con un enfoque cuantitativo de alcance exploratorio y de tipo transversal, basándose en la información proporcionada por la Encuesta Nacional de Hogares (ENAHO). Entre los resultados más importantes se obtiene que la tasa de retorno de la educación no ha cambiado, manteniéndose en 6% en los años de estudio, además las brechas de ingreso entre los niveles educativos han permanecido casi invariables. Finalmente, este trabajo busca servir como una línea de partida para futuros trabajos de investigación que estén interesados en ahondar las causas de las brechas de ingreso, identificadas en este trabajo de investigación.
La industria turística ha mostrado una participación porcentual creciente del Producto Bruto Interno (PBI), con una participación marcadamente femenina. A pesar de esto, la brecha salarial al 2017 es de un 41% en trabajadores dependientes. Es por ello que, mediante la presente investigación se analiza la variación de las determinantes que generan las brechas salariales por género en el sector asalariado en los periodos prepandemia y post cuarentena. Se utiliza la ecuación de Mincer para estimar el grado de influencia de las variables socioculturales y económicas sobre la brecha salarial de género. Posteriormente, se aplica la metodología pooled seguida de la Oaxaca-Blinder para identificar la relevancia de los factores observables y no observables. Se utilizan datos de la Encuesta Nacional de Hogares (ENAHO) del período 2004-2021. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que, la brecha salarial no aumenta significativamente de un periodo a otro en evaluación; sin embargo, es de notar que los factores no observables explican 77% y 80% la brecha salarial. La brecha muestra una reducción en 21% dando indicios que los periodos de recuperación son beneficiosos para las mujeres, sin embargo, el componente relacionado con posible discriminación femenina ha aumentado.
El presupuesto público es una herramienta para los gobiernos locales y regionales que les permite generar valor y mejorar la calidad de vida de sus ciudadanos, por ello es relevante asignar el gasto eficientemente. Mediante este trabajo de investigación se analizan los determinantes de la eficiencia del gasto de capital en los gobiernos locales del Perú para el 2021. Se utiliza un enfoque cuantitativo, de corte transversal, diseño no experimental, de tipo explicativo y correlacional. Se estima un análisis econométrico aplicado a siete conglomerados que agrupa a gobiernos locales, correspondiente a cada categoría establecida. Se tiene como variable dependiente la eficiencia del gasto de capital en gobiernos locales y como variables explicativas el planeamiento estratégico, el porcentaje de la población con educación universitaria, la participación ciudadana y la asignación de recursos por canon. Para los modelos se han utilizado datos de 1874 gobiernos locales del 2021. Los resultados muestran que la variable asignación de recursos por canon es significativa en cinco de las siete categorías de gobiernos locales. Además, se observa que el hecho de contar con instrumentos de planeamiento estratégico tiene un efecto significativo en la eficiencia del gasto de capital solo en una de las categorías de gobiernos locales.
La ausencia de una metodología comúnmente aceptada para medir la competitividad regional ha originado que múltiples países desarrollen sus propios mecanismos para establecer un ranking dentro de su territorio. En Perú, el Instituto Peruano de Economía (IPE) elabora un índice de competitividad regional, cuya metodología indica que la asignación de puntajes y establecimiento del ranking se realiza sobre la base de un cálculo a través de promedios simples. Esto genera dificultades para establecer el nivel de avance o brecha real por atender; puesto que otros países trabajan de forma más efectiva a través del uso de indicadores compuestos. También, se ha desarrollado una metodología para elaboración de un índice compuesto de competitividad regional con resultados agregados. Para demostrar su validez, la presente investigación se desarrolló con el objetivo de estimar y analizar los resultados obtenidos a partir del procesamiento del Índice Compuesto de Competitividad Regional (ICCR) y su impacto sobre el ranking regional. El estudio es de tipo cuantitativo, de corte analítico y exploratorio. Los resultados muestran que el ICCR calculado es una herramienta que se debe utilizar para realizar recomendaciones de política pública considerando que los resultados tienen mayor robustez en relación con el Índice de Competitividad Regional (INCORE).
