This paper presents a study that sought to determine the characteristic between Cost and Quality of Service. The results presented in the proposed paper correspond to the actual distribution system, consisting of two substations and twenty-five feeders of a Brazilian distribution utility. Initially, the study of optimized configuration for the installation of automatic reclosers is presented, reallocating the existing devices, and the impact on quality of service indices are compared with the values observed in reality. Then, it is made a study considering the allocation of additional devices and the expected values of improvement in the quality of service indices are calculated.
