RESUMOO artigo, produzido pelos integrantes do projeto de pesquisa PDet Serra Gaúcha 1 , se propõe a apresentar aspectos comuns da produção de conteúdos audiovisuais digitais, seja na tradicional indústria, seja em propostas alternativas, como experiência que subsidia uma análise dos novos cenários socioeconômicos, à luz do conceito de Economia Criativa (UNCTAD, 2004). Este setor, em especial, opera com os elementos característicos da arena de produção criativa (de mercadorias tangíveis e intangíveis), compondo um ambiente propício para compreender movimentos socieconômicos contemporâneos das organizações, dos novos insumos, das mercadorias com valor simbólico agregado, da preservação ambiental, inclusão social e da geração de renda. É um artigo que busca fazer aproximações das ciências econômicas e da comunicação para aprimorar a compreensão da produção e circulação das mercadorias criativas.Palavras Chave: audiovisual, produção de conteúdos audiovisuais, economia criativa, comunicação digital. Devices de comunicação por todos os ladosApesar de não provocarem nenhum espanto, alguns dados acerca da convivência com os diversos equipamentos eletrônicos precisam receber atenção. Ganha relevância a pesquisa realizada pela Nielsen (2013) , sobre a inserção da tecnologia mobile nas sociedades contemporâneas. Foram entrevistadas pessoas que vivem em países com a economia desenvolvida (aqui entendidos como aquelas nações economicamente estáveis e preponderantes nos negócios globais) e em países cujas economias se encontram em franco desenvolvimento (especialmente, os participantes do BRIC -Brasil, Rússia, Índia e China, mais Austrália, Coreia do Sul e Turquia).Foram usadas diferentes metodologias em cada nação para realizar a coleta de dados (conforme as condições da infraestrutura de cada localidade). Para manter o equilíbrio da coleta, a população da amostragem, entretanto, foi mantida na faixa etária dos 16 aos 64 anos. O resultado foi apresentado em fevereiro de 2013 (NIELSEN, 2013, p. 37).Os números globais indicam o uso cada vez mais frequente dos smartphones pelas populações das áreas pesquisadas. É, apenas, a confirmação do fenômeno que se percebe com uma simples observação em nossos hábitos cotidianos ao sair de casa para o escritório, em nossa atitude ao adquirir um destes devices em qualquer magazine ou na publicidade que sustenta os meios de comunicação.Olhando para os dados brasileiros, 84% dos consumidores maiores de 16 anos, numa amostra de quatro mil pessoas, usam aparelhos celulares, sendo 36% deles smartphones.
