Objetivo: Relatar caso raro de paciente com retinopatia da prematuridade sem exposição aos fatores de risco. Relato de caso: Paciente, 13 anos, com quadro de baixa acuidade visual, durante investigação levantada hipótese diagnóstica de retinopatia da prematuridade, diagnóstico confirmado posteriormente após realização de exames complementares. Conclusão: A ausência de exposição aos fatores de risco foi o principal fator determinante para um diagnóstico tardio de retinopatia da prematuridade, de modo a impedir o tratamento em tempo hábil para evitar a perda irreversível da visão.
RESUMOO SARS-CoV-2 é um vírus altamente transmissível, que se propaga através do contato entre os indivíduos, através de gotículas respiratórias ou quando há contato com superfícies contaminadas previamente. Até o momento, as evidências disponíveis sobre outras vias de transmissão do vírus são limitadas, entretanto, é importante ressaltar que os olhos podem ser uma via alternativa de contágio através de suas secreções. Este artigo visa demonstrar as manifestações oculares descritas até o momento em pacientes com diagnóstico da COVID-19.
RESUMOAs uveítes são caracterizadas por inflamação envolvendo principalmente o trato uveal, embora também possa ocorrer inflamação dos tecidos adjacentes, como retina, nervo óptico e humor vítreo 1 . O diagnóstico é baseado na anamnese completa do paciente, exame oftalmológico e avaliação sistêmica e laboratorial pertinente. Além dos sinais clássicos, a presença de fibrina e hipópio auxilia no diagnóstico diferencial, pois estão presentes nas endoftalmites , uveítes associadas ao HLA-B27 ou condições neoplásicas. O tratamento, com uso de midriáticos/cicloplégicos e esteróides tópicos, é necessário para redução de sintomas e prevenção de complicações e, portanto, deve ser iniciado precocemente 2 .
