Neste trabalho iremos abordar um caso clínico de Avulsão da Crista iliaca por fratura. A apófise da crista ilíaca é o local de inserção do músculo abdominal transverso, músculo oblíquo interno e músculo oblíquo externo. No caso das fraturas por avulsão das apófises da crista ilíaca, essas surgem a partir de forças de tensão exercidas por estes músculos agonistas, sendo essa contração superior à ação antagonista dos músculos glúteo médio e músculo tensor da fáscia lata. Quanto ao mecanismo de trauma, o mais comum é o trauma indireto, em que ocorre contração súbita do músculo que está fixado na crista ilíaca, associado ao movimento de rotação do tronco para o lado contrário.
Introdução: Dentre os tumores intracranianos, os meningiomas são os mais prevalentes em adultos, correspondendo 15 a 25% dos tumores primários do sistema nervoso central (SNC), com uma incidência de 7,44 casos em 100.000 pessoas nos Estados Unidos. Neste trabalho será abordado um caso de meningioma psamomatoso, um subtipo de tumor raro, pertencente ao Grau I segundo classificação histológica da Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS). Apresentação do caso: Paciente de 12 anos, sexo masculino, relatando cefaleia intensa e progressiva há 2 anos, que inicialmente melhorava com o uso de analgésicos e posteriormente tornou-se refratária com piora da intensidade da dor há 1 semana. Foi solicitado ressonância magnética do crânio que evidenciou um meningioma com posterior confirmação via cirúrgica que se tratava de um meningioma psamomático. Discussão: os meningiomas são tumores benignos cujo diagnóstico em sua maioria é feito por achado acidentais em exames de imagem como tomografia e ressonância magnética do crânio. Em relação ao tratamento, quando os achados não se relacionam com a clínica do paciente, o mesmo pode ser expectante, apenas com acompanhamento; mas o padrãoouro permanece sendo a ressecção do tumor quando possível. Conclusão: mostrar a importância do diagnóstico e classificação precoce, para estabelecer a terapêutica adequada para o paciente.
