In this paper, we have investigated the effect of high-intensity laser radiation with a wavelength of 1.08 µm applied to soft biological tissues. We have designed a laser model that has a fiber with a multicomponent cladding of GTWave type and core doped by ytterbium ions, that has been used as an active medium. The maximal power of the fiber laser is 9 W in continuous wave mode. As a result of laser exposure, we have obtained laser craters in muscle tissue and skin. An effective time of action has been chosen (for muscle tissue 60 s, for skin 17 s). The developed laser model can be used for surgical purposes. It is assumed that the highest tissue removal efficiency could be provided by the contact method of exposure.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
