Pandemi Covid-19 telah menyebabkan pemerintan baik pusat maupun daerah menerapkan kebijakan Pemberlakukan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat (PPKM) untuk menekan laju penularan. Akan tetapi, penerapan PPKM berdampak kepada ekonomi masyarakat salah satunya di Kelurahan Jatimulya, Depok. Kebutuhan akan sabun cuci tangan meningkat dan di satu sisi hal ini menjadi peluang untuk mengembangkan usaha kecil dan menengah dalam memproduksi sabun cuci pakaian dan cuci tangan. Metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini meliputi tahap persiapan, tahap pelatihan, dan tahap evaluasi. Pada tahap persiapan dilakukan brain-storming untuk menentukan solusi dari permasalahan yang ada. Pada tahap pelatihan dilakukan pelatihan pembuatan sabun cuci pakaian dan cuci tangan menggunakan bahan-bahan kimia yang aman bagi manusia dan lingkungan. Setelah dilakukan evaluasi melalui kuesioner hasilnya masyarakat mampu untuk membuat sabun dan pengetahuan serta keterampilan mereka meningkat setelah mengikuti pelatihan.
In this research, it was explained about the conversion carried out by changing conventional vehicles fueled by gasoline with electricity. Replacement is carried out by removing the drive Engine and replacing it with a drive motor that is automatically added with batteries as an energy source.Furthermore, from the results of the conversion, torque and rpm testing was carried out through Dynotest, which is a method of testing the performance of vehicle engines (electric motors) by looking at power (power) and torque (torque). Torque is the ability of the engine to move or move an electric vehicle from a stationary state to running and when running there is a variation between speed and the gear change made. In addition, with Dynotest, the highest point of torque value on each gear will be known. In the tests carried out, the value of gear changes obtained from gear-1 max speed 20 km / h, gear-2 max speed 40 km / h, gear-3 max speed 60 km / h and gear-4 max speed 80 km / h. In this electric vehicle, measurements on amperes and voltages are carried out to observe the performance of the motor and battery as the main components and obtain a surge value at each gear change. The surge occurred as a result of a combination of alternating gas, brake and clutch footings to obtain a comfortable accelerant value.
Environmental pollution due to waste cooking oil is a problem that is currently being faced by residents of RW 04 Kampung Kebon Duren-Cilodong-Depok, West Java. Community service carried out by the lecturer team of the Energy Conversion Engineering Study Program of the Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ) was to introduce and to train in making laundry soap made from used cooking oil. It was also as an effort to empower Kampung Kebon Duren-Cilodong, Depok in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. The implementation of community service begins with the presentation of material about used cooking oil and the purpose of using used cooking oil, preparing tools and materials, procedures for making soap from used cooking oil, and packaging soap. This activity, in general, consists of 1) pre-activity, 2) activity planning, 3) pre-implementation of training activities, 4) counseling and mentoring, and 5) activity evaluation. This training program creates entrepreneurship opportunities and educates residents on how to process used cooking oil which is household waste to be converted into a product that is worth selling so that it is not simply thrown into the environment because it can pollute the environment. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat diawali dengan pemaparan materi tentang bahaya minyak jelantah bagi kesehatan dan lingkungan serta tujuan pemanfaatan minyak jelantah, persiapan alat dan bahan, prosedur pembuatan sabun cuci dari minyak jelantah dan pengemasan sabun. Kegiatan ini, secara garis besar terdiri atas: 1) pra kegiatan, 2) perencanaan kegiatan, 3) pre-pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan, 4) penyuluhan dan pendampingan, serta 5) evaluasi kegiatan. Program pelatihan ini menciptakan peluang berwirausaha dan mengedukasi warga terkait cara untuk mengolah minyak jelantah yang merupakan limbah rumah tangga untuk diubah menjadi produk bernilai jual sehingga tidak dibuang begitu saja ke lingkungan karena dapat mencemari lingkungan. The application of photocatalytic oxidation (PCO) in air purifiers (AP) to remove viruses, bacteria, and toxic gases in the air is intensively being studied, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic broke out. The testing method of PCO materials for AP purposes has been standardized through ISO 22197-4 (2013). However, the standard required a set of complex, high precision, and costly equipment. The present study demonstrates a simpler and low-cost test setup without compromising any accuracy in the overall result. The proposed test consists of a test chamber and mixing chamber, and sets of equipment installed in it. A 3D printer fabricated a PCO reactor, and TiO2 was coated on the surface. Formaldehyde (HCHO) is used as a sample pollutant to be observed, injected into the test chamber. Before the measurement of the concentration of HCHO, the intensity of UV A LED was measured. Then, the amount of formaldehyde concentration was monitored online by indoor air quality measurement equipment. The result shows that the intensity of UV light was enough to generate a photocatalytic oxidation reaction. After 20 minutes of reaction, the HCHO concentration inside the chamber was decreased around 21.76%.
