In recent years, the successful development of hybrid image compression algorithms has typically become a practical necessity for academic researchers. In this extensive research, we properly investigate a novel method for optimally compressing medical grayscale and color images. This method is appropriate mix of Quincunx Wavelet transform (QWT) and Walsh Hadamard Transforms (WHT). The Quincunx wavelet is a novel technique employed to achieve precisely an optimal geometric representation of a specific image. The QWTs were chosen due to their limited number of wavelets in the family and reduced dilatation factor. And the WHT is also used in data compression such as in the H.264 algorithm and for signal processing operations. Our developed novel hybrid algorithm provides competing performance who correctly gives the best significant compression ratio, the best PSNR, MSSIM values, and extremely good compressed image quality compared standards compression medical image.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
