RESUMO: A quantidade de resíduos gerados por indústrias cresce cada vez mais no Brasil e no mundo. O local mais comum de descarte destes resíduos são os aterros sanitários, não sendo comum priorizar formas de tratamento anteriores a essa destinação, como incineração e reciclagem. A indústria de papel e celulose gera em seu processo de produção uma cinza resultante da queima de cavacos de eucalipto, usados como forma de energia das caldeiras. A empresa Paraibuna Embalagens, sediada em Juiz de Fora, é uma das geradoras de cinzas de cavaco de eucalipto (CCE), que são depositadas em um aterro industrial da cidade. Com o intuito de pesquisar alternativas à destinação deste material, o presente trabalho tem por objetivo analisar a influência da adição de diferentes porcentagens de cinza em um solo residual maduro, avaliando, pelos ensaios de compactação e Índice de Suporte Califórnia (ISC ou CBR), a possibilidade de aplicação em camada final de aterro e camadas de pavimentos. Apesar de serem necessárias análises de outros parâmetros, os valores encontrados indicaram que o solo puro e as misturas de 5 e 10% podem ser aplicados em camada de reforço de subleito e camada final de aterro.
