Recentemente tem-se observado, com o advento da Harmonização orofacial, uma grande demanda de pessoas, principalmente mulheres, exibindo em suas redes sociais, ou em mídias de uma forma geral, os tratamentos estéticos e rejuvenescedores realizados. Dentre as regiões mais escolhidas, a dos lábios parece ser uma das mais procuradas. Assim, esta revisão integrativa tem por objetivo pesquisar as principais complicações relativas ao preenchimento dos lábios com Ácido Hialurônico (AH), com finalidade estética, e como foram tratadas. Foram selecionados artigos dos 10 últimos anos, utilizando-se das bases de dados da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde - BVS e PubMed obtendo uma amostra de 107 publicações de casos clínicos que após aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão resultou em 08 artigos que foram incluídos nesta revisão integrativa. Após análise dos artigos incluídos na revisão os resultados dos estudos apontaram que dentre as principais complicações estão os nódulos ou granulomas, entendidos como corpos estranhos. Nestes casos a biópsia, na maioria das vezes excisional, foi apresentado como procedimento de tratamento.
Esta revisão integrativa teve por objetivo verificar como a identificação da Odontologia Legal, por meio das rugas palatinas, tem se apresentado na literatura científica e quais as limitações para o seu uso em perícias post mortem. O que demandou em uma busca sob os seguintes descritores: Rugoscopia palatina, Palatoscopia e Odontologia forense, nas bases de dados da PubMed, BVS (Medline e Lilacs), BBO e Scielo, para artigos publicados entre 2010 e 2019. Foram selecionados os que se apresentavam disponíveis com texto completo e gratuito, em idiomas de inglês e português, cuja conclusão estivesse de acordo com o propósito deste estudo, deixando de fora os artigos que tratassem de estudos relacionados a perícia no vivo ou ante mortem, bem como os repetidos. Foram contabilizados um total de 58 artigos, sendo que destes, 7 artigos atendiam por completo aos critérios de inclusão/exclusão. Estes tratavam de revisões de literatura narrativa, sistemática e meta-análise, relatos de caso pericial e revisão de relatos de caso. Pode-se concluir que a rugoscopia palatina se apresenta na literatura científica como um método útil como guia na identificação humana, normalmente complementar, e ainda com possibilidade de transmitir diversas informações. Porém, não deve ser utilizada como único método de identificação da vítima, posto que também apresenta várias limitações, as quais podem dificultar ou mesmo inviabilizar o procedimento identificatório.
O acidente de trabalho ocorre pelo exercício do trabalho a serviço da empresa, ou pelo exercício do trabalho do segurado especial, provocando lesão corporal ou perturbação funcional, de caráter temporário ou permanente. Esses acidentes representam 1,8% da causa dos traumas faciais. O objetivo deste trabalho é relatar um caso de ferimento por vareta de solda impactada no terço médio da face após acidente de trabalho, bem como a conduta empregada. Ao exame de imagem, foi possível observar imagem compatível com vareta de solda, transfixado e impactado no terço médio da face. O protocolo efetuado foi assepsia da face, infiltração de anestésico local contendo vasoconstritor, remoção do objeto impactado com porta agulha, controle de hemorragia nasal com a instalado tampão nasal anterior e prescrição de antibioticoterapia. Mesmo não sendo o tipo de lesão mais comum, o trauma maxilofacial pode ocorrer no acidente de trabalho, trazendo consequências emocionais, possibilidade de deformidade irreversível e ao impacto econômico que traz ao sistema de saúde. No caso de lesões transfixantes, o seu tratamento deve priorizar a estabilização do paciente, para sucessivamente ser feita a remoção do objeto. Os acidentes de trabalho são episódios previsíveis e que podem ser evitados, tornando-se necessário para uma melhor abordagem, conhecer sua extensão e gravidade.
