In this article we present the objectives, history and current functioning of the Justice and Court Accompaniment Program for the Homeless in Montreal (PAJIC for the French acronym). We then draw links between this program and the first study on the judicialization of homelessness, underlining that in the world of specialized courts, the PAJIC is in a different category, especially because of its flexibility and ties to the milieu of grassroots community organizations. We finally expose the challenges the PAJIC faces as an individual response to the judicialization of homeless people
