AGRADECIMENTOSO encerramento de uma etapa é sempre um momento de realização. O presente artigo tem o objetivo de analisar o modo como a exposição Memória das Cataratas, disponibilizada no Centro de Visitantes do Parque Nacional do Iguaçu, influencia a produção das memórias e intervém na produção de relações sociais no oeste do Paraná. Para isso, em um primeiro momento, desenvolve-se a análise expográfica desse espaço, de modo a observar como os diferentes elementos expositivos se articulam, produzindo um discurso específico sobre as memórias da região. Em seguida, o artigo aborda a operatividade simbólica dessa exposição, demonstrando que o discurso comunicado por essa tem efeitos sociais e simbólicos, os quais separam e diferenciam os grupos sociais e influenciam o modo como as comunidades locais se relacionam entre si.
