Objective. To inquire about the characteristics, dynamics and perspectives of the phenomenon of the DINK (Double Income, No Kids) couples in the city of Medellin (Colombia). Methodology. It was qualitative research. Results and conclusions. 11 DINK couples were identified, the presence of hedonism and the constant search for healthy selfishness was meaningful, which invites couples to have a lifestyle marked by self-realization.
El presente libro surge en congruencia con la línea de trabajo implementada por el Grupo de Investigación en Familia de la Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, en la que se han identificado las características sociales, las motivaciones, el proceso y los acuerdos establecidos en las formas como las parejas se conforman en la contemporaneidad. Tal es el caso de la investigación sobre las parejas LAT (Living Apart Together) en la ciudad de Medellín, donde se exploró el funcionamiento, los alcances y limitaciones de este tipo de parejas analizando algunas situaciones que viven frente a las familias y los hijos propios o nacidos en relaciones anteriores si los hay.
Esta ponencia es el resultado de un proceso investigativo desarrollado entre la Universidad Católica de Pereira, y la Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana de Medellín, desde sus respectivos Centros de Familia, durante los años 2015 y 2016. La investigación tuvo como objetivo reconocer la experiencia de las relaciones poliamorosas y abiertas, desde el sentido otorgado por sus integrantes y su dinámica relacional. En este artículo se presentan algunos hallazgos alrededor de los siguientes aspectos: características sociodemográficas de las personas participantes, motivaciones para la constitución de la relación, acuerdos - limitaciones y dinámica sexual. La metodología desde la cual se llevó a cabo el proceso investigativo fue de corte cualitativo, gracias a sus posibilidades de comprender el punto de vista de un grupo social, propiciando la profundización sobre las creencias, prácticas y el sentido que se le atribuyen a las mismas.
