У статті проаналізовано стан безробіття в Україні у 2015-2021 роках та його статево-вікову структуру. Визначено, що в абсолютному та відносному виразі безробіття зростало до 2017 року, у 2018-2019 роках відбулось зменшення, а з 2020 року знову спостерігається зростання безробіття. У статево-віковій структурі безробітного населення України у 2021 році порівняно з 2015 спостерігається певна вікова переорієнтація: якщо у 2015 р. найбільша частка безробітних була у віці 15-34 роки, то у 2021 р. найбільша частка безробітних була у віці 35-49 років, також зросла частка безробітного населення віком 50 років і старше. За допомогою інтегральних показників структурних зрушень здійснено оцінку зміни статево-вікової структурі безробітного населення України у 2021 році порівняно з 2015. Розраховані інтегральні показники структурних зрушень свідчать про істотний рівень відмінностей у структурі безробітних за віковими групами, а також про те, що протягом 2015-2021 рр. за віковими групами відбулися більш суттєві зміни у структурі безробітних жінок, ніж серед безробітних чоловіків. Визначено фактори, що впливають на безробіття в Україні та побудовано моделі залежності між чисельністю безробітних та рівнем безробіття, як результативного показника, та соціально-економічними факторами, що впливають на результативний показник, а також оцінено ступені їхнього впливу. За результатами проведеного кореляційно-регресійного аналізу визначено, що варіація чисельності безробітних в Україні на 80% формується під впливом валового регіонального продукту (ВРП), середньої заробітної плати та осіб, що не входять до складу робочої сили. Проте, абсолютний показник чисельності безробітних не слід вважати об’єктивним показником. Більш інформативним є відносний показник – рівень безробіття. Саме тому також було побудовано модель, яка на 79,4% пояснює залежність рівня безробіття від наступних факторів: кількість вакансій; рівень безробітного населення з вищою освітою; неформально зайняте населення; рівень урбанізації.
